# Chat with your Virtual Agent

**Talk to your Virtual Agent and see its response**  
You can chat with your Virtual Agent (VA) at any time using the Interaction Panel. It is the primary tool to test and refine your VA. [Learn more about the Interaction Panel in our documentation.](https://docs.cognigy.com/ai/tools/interaction-panel/interaction-panel/)

#### #1 Open the Interaction Panel
Navigate to the speech bubble icon at the top-right to open the **Interaction Panel.**

#### #2 Say hello to your VA
Enter some **text** in the input field like "hello!" and click send or press enter. The text is now sent to your Virtual Agent. You'll see its response instantly.

#### #3 Clear the chat
You can use the "more options" menu (three dots) to **clear the chat** or you press _Ctrl + B._
